Officer Nicole (Nikki) Kimball began her tenure with the Cross Plains Police Department in 2018 and is currently assigned as a Patrol Officer. She is a 2015 graduate of Fox Valley Technical College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree and graduated with honors.
Recently, Officer Kimball completed an active assailant training geared at ensuring officers are prepared for an active shooter event in a school, church, or other setting.
Officer Kimball was born in South Dakota and relocated to La Crosse, Wisconsin at an early age, where she grew up.
Upon graduating from Fox Valley Technical College, Officer Kimball worked in the Western Region Adolescent Shelter Unit and was quickly promoted to the La Crosse County Juvenile Detention Center where she worked as a Juvenile Corrections Officer for over two years.
Outside of work, Officer Kimball enjoys giving back to the community. When she was younger, she participated in five mission trips with her church as well as volunteering with the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office in their alcohol compliance check program. In addition to volunteering, Officer Kimball enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, physical fitness and spending time in the kitchen baking.
Officer Kimball pursued the policing field with a desire to continue fostering positive relationships between the public and the police department. She also enjoys working with children and looks forward to meeting the kids of Cross Plains and participating in kid-friendly events.
Goals are important to Officer Kimball. She looks forward to keeping the community safe while getting to know the residents and visitors. In addition, Officer Kimball looks forward to integrate education into her duties as a police officer: becoming an instructor, program facilitator/educator, and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in the near future.
