School Resource officer rodger siver

Officer Rodger Siver began his career as a police officer with Cross Plains Police Department in 2010. Prior to this, he served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring with a rank of Master Sergeant.

In  the fall of 2018, Officer Siver began his role as a School Resource Officer. While school is in session, Officer Siver will divide his time as needed among Glacier Creek Middle School and Park Elementary School. During the summer break months, Officer Siver will transition to general patrol duties.

Outside of his patrol duties, Officer Siver is the Business Liaison Officer, Evidence Technician, Certified Child Safety Seat Technician and instructor in several police classroom subjects. In the near future, Officer Siver will also be a trained Firearms Instructor as well.

Officer Siver was born and raised in Marlboro, New Jersey and has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University. Officer Siver brings a unique life experience to the Cross Plains Police Department, as he has resided in the east (Marlboro, NJ), west (Las Vegas, NV), south (Altus, OK and Bossier City, LA) and northern (Dane County, WI) regions of the country.

When he is not working, Officer Siver enjoys being active, unplugged and outdoors: sports, camping and weightlifting. He also treasures spending time with his children.

When asked what goal(s) he has as a police officer, Officer Siver will be sure to include sand between the toes by age 65. To that, Cheers!

Be sure to greet Officer Siver when you see him.
